Itinerary

7:30 AM – Hotel Pickup in Kathmandu

Your day begins with a comfortable drive out of the city. Our guide and driver will meet you at your hotel and take you east toward Dhulikhel, a charming hillside town known for its traditional Newari architecture and mountain views. The drive takes around 1.5 hours, offering a scenic ride through valleys and hills.

9:00 AM—Start Hiking from Dhulikhel

Stretch your legs and hit the trail! The hike begins from Dhulikhel and gently climbs through a mix of pine forests, small villages, and lush terraced fields. You’ll pass through traditional Tamang and Newar communities, where locals go about their day—farming, chatting, and waving with warm smiles.

No rush here. The pace is slow and relaxed, with plenty of time to breathe in the crisp mountain air, snap some photos, or chat with your guide about life in rural Nepal.

11:30 AM – Arrive at Namobuddha Monastery

Tucked on a ridge at 1,750 meters, the Thrangu Tashi Yangtse Monastery is more than just a beautiful building. It’s a place where silence speaks and time seems to slow down. According to legend, this is where a young prince (believed to be a previous life of Buddha) compassionately offered his body to a starving tigress and her cubs—an act of ultimate selflessness.

Explore the monastery grounds, spin the prayer wheels, sit quietly during a prayer session if available, and soak in the views of the surrounding hills and Himalayan peaks in the distance.

1:00 PM – Vegetarian Lunch with a View

After exploring, you can enjoy a peaceful lunch at a local lodge or monastery café. The meal is usually simple but nourishing—think fresh vegetables, rice, or momos (Nepali dumplings), with hot tea and wide-open views of the valley below. Lunch isn’t included in the package, so you’ll have the flexibility to order what you like.

2:00 PM – Leisure Time & Optional Walk Around

After lunch, take your time to explore the surrounding area. You can walk to the Namobuddha Stupa nearby or simply relax on a bench, journal, or take in the panoramic views one last time.

3:00 PM—Drive Back to Kathmandu

Once you’re ready, we’ll begin our drive back to the city. Depending on traffic, we’ll get you back to your hotel by around 5:00–5:30 PM, with a full day of memories behind you.
