Itinerary

Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to your hotel. Meet your guide, who will brief you on the trek ahead. Take time to explore the capital at your leisure or relax after your flight. Overnight at a hotel.

  • Morning: After an early breakfast, begin the scenic drive from Kathmandu to Gorkha. The drive is an incredible mix of riverside viewshilltop vistas, and glimpses of rural life.
  • Afternoon: Upon arrival in Gorkha, start the 3-hour trek to Barpak Village. The route offers sweeping views of the Manaslu Range and Ganesh Himal. Settle into your homestay for the night and enjoy the warmth of local hospitality.

  • Morning: After breakfast, take a walking tour of Barpak Village. Visit local temples and historical sites and see the traditional way of life. This village was also heavily impacted by the 2015 earthquake, but the community has risen resiliently.
  • Afternoon: Spend the afternoon hiking around the village’s beautiful terraced fields, learning about local farming practices, or visiting nearby hills for panoramic views of the Himalayas.

  • Morning: After breakfast, enjoy a relaxed trek back down to Gorkha. The walk will take you through lush forests and past local farms, with the distant mountains looming ahead.
  • Afternoon: Upon arrival in Gorkha, you’ll have time to visit Gorkha Durbar, a historic palace that offers views of the valley below. It’s a place of historical significance where the Shah Dynasty was founded.
  • Evening: Drive back to Kathmandu and check into your hotel.

Transfer to the airport for your onward journey. If you have extra time, explore Kathmandu’s vibrant markets or temples before your departure.
