Itinerary

After arriving by road or flight, you’ll be greeted at your lodge with a welcome drink and orientation about the park’s ecosystem. In the afternoon, visit a local Tharu village, meet indigenous families, and walk through rice paddies and forest edges. In the evening, enjoy a cultural dance performance by Tharu artists.

Wake up to birdsong and head out for a full-day guided jeep safari deep into the park’s core. You’ll travel through grasslands, sal forests, and riverine ecosystems, stopping at watchtowers and watering holes. Expect to see rhinos, deer, wild boars, peacocks, and—if you’re lucky—a Bengal tiger. Filming teams can set up near hotspots with the help of local guides.

After breakfast, enjoy a serene canoe ride on the Rapti River, perfect for spotting gharial crocodiles, kingfishers, and other aquatic life. Continue with a guided jungle walk, learning about wildlife signs, bird calls, and medicinal plants. Later, visit the Elephant Breeding Centre and engage in ethical discussions about wildlife conservation and captivity.
