Manaslu Trekking

Manaslu means the “Mountain of the Spirit” which comes from the Sanskrit words Manasa, the meaning of Manasa means “intellect” or “Soul”. Manaslu region is one of the most challenging trek, full of new experiences. The main attraction in this trek is the virginity of the trail. The area has been open for tourists since 1991, but had not been accessed until lately due to lack of publicity and extremely poor infrastructure. But today Manaslu Trek is very popular due to the publicity, development of infrastructure and the over use of other conventional trekking routes. Many different kinds of trails can be plan out based on the requirement of the trekkers. Basically, the initial part of the trek follows the banks of Budhi Gandaki River and reaches a beautiful Chum valley beyond the Manaslu and other mountains after crossing a Chhekampar gorge.  Trekking in Manaslu region takes trekkers to the highest point of trekking route known as Larkya La, at the altitude of 5,235 meters.

The trek gives a complete taste of pristine adventure trekking as there are less infrastructures developed. A special permit is required to enter the area. Trekking in Manaslu region offers panoramic views of Mt. Manaslu, Lamjung himal, Nagdi chuli, Thulagi chuli, Himlung, Himlung, Kang guru, Annapurna, Ganesh Himal, Shringi Himal, Buddha Himal and Himal Chuli etc.

Manaslu region trekking is a complete wilderness adventure destinations and it will  be an expericence for a lifetime , exploring the remoteness for certain time period.
