Kanchenjunga is situated in the elevation of 8,586m in the north east of the Nepal. This is 3rd highest peak and one of the attractive snow-capped mountains in the world. Mt. Kanchenjunga, “the five jewels of the great snow range” is on both sides of the Nepal and Sikkim borders. This trekking trail was opened in 1988 for the trekkers who want to experience nature. Mt. Kanchenjunga is also renowned as the queen of mountains.
Mt. Kanchenjunga offers the different biological environment, the subtropical land and wilderness experience and panoramic views of wonderful Himalayan like- Everest, Lhotse, Makalu and many more. Trek to Kanchenjunga region is challenging and needs ample preparation as no infrastructure is developed there. It will be a fully organized camping trip and entry to the area requires a special permit for foreigners.
Mt. Kangchenjunga is not much explored by the trekkers. The most popular area for tourist in Kangchenjung is the Goecha La trek which is situated on the front of the massive southeast face of the Kanchenjunga as well as on the Northeast of Kanchenjunga there is a famous destination known as Zemu Glacier. The land and its people change daily or even hourly, giving the trekkers an exciting introduction to Nepal’s cultural and natural beauty.
The main trekking destination in the Kanchenjunga region are- Antu danda sunrise trek, Kanchenjungha north base camp trek, Kanchenjungha south base camp trek, Pathibhara trekking, Milke danda trek, Kanchenjunga base camp trek. This trekking is very challenged by the high pass which offers a beauty and serenity of the area.
